About Us

Our establishment was founded and created by Dr. George James, MD who is a board-certified cardiologist and believes in “commitment over convenience.” After completing medical school at Christian Medical College in 1990, his residency at Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center in 1997, his internship at Beaumont Hospital-Dearborn in 1997, and his fellowship in cardiology at Tulane University Medical Center in 2005, he joined a private-practice where he thrived, exceeded expectations, and advanced his career, dedicated to provide his patients with quality of life over all else. As more and more privately-owned practices succumb to the conveniences of large corporations taking over medical practices through mergers and acquisitions to expand market shares and eliminate competition, Dr. George James, MD made a life-changing decision. His belief in appreciation, acknowledgement, and improvement in his patients’ care mean more to him than accommodation and comfort. Thus, Lone Star Cardiovascular Institute made its unique appearance in February 2025. Providing his patients with the utmost respect, compassionate supervision, and diligence to enhance life without hesitation, despite the outcome, is what drives his practice, and he commits to quality of life over all else.
